During my recent stay at Kourijima L'Hotels on Kouri Island, I found it to be a cozy and convenient option for those traveling with family or small groups. With ample space for up to six guests, the well-equipped kitchen became our gathering hub; we appreciated the availability of a rice cooker and dining area for shared meals. I especially enjoyed the strong water pressure in the shower, which added a refreshing touch after our days of exploring nearby Nakijin Castle and Belle Beach Golf Club. While the property is relatively new and mostly clean, be prepared for a bit of independence; as an Airbnb-style accommodation, additional services are limited, and reaching the owner can be challenging without a Japanese phone. Nevertheless, for nature lovers and marine conservation enthusiasts like myself, it serves as a comfy base to unwind after a day spent enjoying the breathtaking landscapes.
